Introducing our newest venue - The Shires Shopping Centre
Access Point is happy to announce its latest portfolio venue: The Shires Shopping Centre, Trowbridge. Going forward Access Point will be responsible for all aspects of commercialisation at the including managing promotions from household names, mall retailing for independent local businesses and exciting visitors with experiential events.
The Shires Shopping Centre is home to over 50 shops, host to 100,000 visitors every week and is Wiltshire’s principal shopping centre. It’s located on the site of Salter’s Mill, which closed in 1982, the last of the cotton mills which were once the chief industry in the area. It incorporates the Trowbridge Museum detailing the town’s rich industrial history.
Sarah-Louise Moore Centre Manager said:
“We welcome the opportunity to work with Access Point and look forward to some new and exciting mall opportunities, giving our customers a fresh and varied interest adding to our retail offer”
For shopping centres looking to drive new revenue and improve customer engagement, commercialisation offers one of the most effective ways. Utilising mall space for local traders, managing promotions to be a part of the centre offering rather than just in the way and bringing in some exciting events to give customers another reason to come back all help to make schemes more than just a group of shops and turn them into destinations.
